The procedure
Volume and Shape, Built Around You
Breast augmentation, medically known as augmentation mammaplasty, increases or restores breast volume while improving shape and proportion. Dr. Leandro Junqueira treats every case as a question of balance between chest width, existing breast tissue, skin elasticity, nipple position and overall body proportions, rather than simply selecting a larger implant.
During your consultation, he evaluates your anatomy in detail and discusses implant dimensions, profile, incision and placement until the projected outcome feels genuinely right for your frame and lifestyle. The objective is never to create the largest possible breast. It is to create breasts that look balanced and appropriate for your body while meeting your personal goals.
Why patients choose it
Balanced Proportions
Implant dimensions chosen for your chest width and existing tissue, so the result looks proportionate rather than added on.
Restored Volume
Fullness rebuilt after pregnancy, breastfeeding or significant weight loss.
Premium Implants
Cohesive silicone gel implants from trusted manufacturers such as Motiva, Mentor and Polytech, chosen for form stability and a soft, natural feel.
Dual Plane Technique
Partial muscle coverage that softens the transition at the upper chest while allowing natural lower breast movement.
Internal Bra Support
Specialised internal suturing that helps stabilise the fold beneath the breast and support its position over time.
Discreet Incisions
Inframammary, transaxillary or periareolar approaches chosen to keep scarring as concealed as possible.

Implant and Technique Options
There is no universal implant or ideal volume for every patient. These are the main decisions discussed and tailored during planning.
Round or Anatomical
Round implants add fullness to the upper pole, while anatomical, teardrop shaped implants create a more gradual, natural slope.
Dual Plane Placement
The upper portion of the implant sits under the muscle for soft coverage, while the lower portion interacts directly with breast tissue for a natural contour.
Incision Approach
Inframammary, periareolar or transaxillary incisions are selected to keep scarring discreet and healing predictable.
Volume in CC, Not Cup Size
Implants are measured in cubic centimetres rather than bra cup sizes, so the plan is based on what your tissue and chest dimensions can safely support.
Before and After
Breast Augmentation FAQ
Size is decided together during your consultation, based on your chest measurements, tissue quality and the proportions you are aiming for. Implants are measured in cubic centimetres rather than bra cup sizes, so the choice fits your frame and lifestyle, not a fixed number.
Dr. Leandro Junqueira favours premium cohesive silicone gel implants from trusted manufacturers such as Motiva, Mentor and Polytech. The final selection depends on your anatomy, the shape you want and current safety guidance.
Augmentation itself does not rule out a future pregnancy, but candidates should not be currently pregnant or breastfeeding at the time of surgery. Pregnancy and breastfeeding can also change breast volume and position afterward, so discuss your plans with Dr. Leandro during consultation so timing and expectations are part of the surgical plan.
Light walking is encouraged within days. Most patients resume daily routine in one to two weeks, with a gradual return to full workouts, especially chest and upper body training, usually around six weeks, guided by your recovery.
That is the goal. By matching implant profile, size and placement to your anatomy, using techniques such as dual plane coverage, the result is designed to move and feel natural and to stay in proportion with the rest of your body.
