No. Advanced liposuction is designed for body contouring and aesthetic refinement, not for major weight loss. The best candidates are close to a stable weight and are looking to address localized fat deposits that resist diet and exercise.
VASER HD uses ultrasound assisted technology to selectively target fat cells while preserving surrounding tissue, nerves and blood vessels, allowing for greater precision, more defined contours and typically a smoother recovery.
Skin response depends on your natural elasticity. Patients with good skin quality generally retract well after fat removal. For mild to moderate laxity, Dr. Leandro Junqueira may recommend combining liposuction with BodyTite or Endolift. More significant excess skin may require a surgical lift.
Structured aftercare including manual lymphatic drainage and consistent use of medical grade compression garments for several weeks helps reduce swelling and supports smooth, even healing.
Early contour improvement is often visible within a couple of weeks, but swelling can take several months to fully resolve. Final definition typically becomes clear between three and six months after surgery.
