The procedure
Beyond Volume, a Balanced Silhouette
Buttock enhancement covers a group of procedures designed to improve the size, shape, projection or position of the buttocks. Rather than focusing on volume alone, Dr. Leandro Junqueira evaluates the relationship between the buttocks, waist, lower back, hips and thighs to create a genuinely balanced silhouette.
Depending on your anatomy and available donor fat, enhancement may be achieved through a Brazilian Butt Lift using your own fat, buttock implants, a surgical buttock lift for loose skin, or a combination of these approaches together with liposculpture of the surrounding areas.
Why patients choose it
Balanced Waist to Hip Curve
Liposculpture around the waist and flanks sharpens the transition into a fuller, more defined buttock.
Natural Volume with BBL
Your own fat, harvested from areas such as the abdomen or flanks, is used to reshape and enhance the buttocks.
Added Projection with Implants
A safe alternative for lean patients without enough donor fat for meaningful transfer.
Correction of Sagging Tissue
A surgical buttock lift addresses loose skin after major weight loss or significant tissue laxity.
Individualized Symmetry
Volume, projection and shape are planned according to your own anatomy, not a fixed template.
Safety Led Planning
Fat transfer volume and technique always respect anatomical limits and established safety principles.
Your journey
From consultation to result

Consultation
Assessment of gluteal shape, available donor fat, skin quality and waist to hip proportions.
-
02
Planning
Choosing between fat transfer, implants, a buttock lift, or a combination, based on your anatomy.
-
03
Surgery
Liposculpture of donor areas and precise, safety led fat transfer or implant placement under general anaesthesia.
-
04
Recovery
Guided positioning, compression and follow up as donor areas and the buttocks settle together.
BBL, Implants or Buttock Lift?
These procedures are not interchangeable. The right path depends on whether the primary concern is lack of volume, lack of projection, or loose skin.
Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)
Best suited to patients with sufficient donor fat who want simultaneous body contouring and natural gluteal enhancement.
Buttock Implants
Considered for lean patients or those without adequate donor fat who need additional central projection.
Buttock Lift
Designed for patients with significant loose skin and tissue descent rather than simply insufficient volume.
Combined Gluteal Contouring
A tailored mix of liposculpture, fat transfer and skin removal for patients who need more than one approach.

Buttock Enhancement FAQ
A Brazilian Butt Lift uses your own fat, harvested through liposuction, to reshape and enhance the buttocks. Buttock implants are silicone prostheses used when a patient does not have enough donor fat for meaningful transfer. The right choice depends on your body composition and goals.
Not all transferred fat survives permanently. The final retained volume becomes progressively clearer as swelling resolves and the transferred fat establishes its own blood supply, usually over the following months.
The amount transferred is never determined simply by the desire for maximum volume. Dr. Leandro Junqueira plans fat transfer according to anatomical limitations, tissue capacity and established safety principles, since safety always determines the procedure, not the requested volume.
Adding fat or an implant increases volume but does not correct excess skin. If sagging or descended tissue is the primary concern, a surgical buttock lift, potentially combined with fat transfer, is usually more appropriate.
Recovery depends on whether fat transfer, implants or a lift were performed. Patients undergoing fat transfer receive specific guidance on positioning and pressure on the treated area, while compression garments and lymphatic drainage support healing in the donor areas.
